Call for Special Sessions, Workshops and Tutorials

 

Proposals are solicited for special session, workshops and tutorials to be held in conjunction with IDC 2019. Special sessions, workshops and tutorials may focus on various research topics related with (but not completely overlapping) the conference scope:

 

– Intelligent Distributed and High-Performance Architectures

– Intelligent and Distributed System Organization and Management

– Ephemeral and Unreliable computing

– Intelligent Distributed Knowledge Representation and Processing

– Networked Intelligence

– Parallel Metaheuristics for Optimization

– Distributed Swarm Robotics Systems

– Nature Inspired Methods for Data Science and Machine Learning

– Intelligent Distributed Applications

 


SPECIAL SESSION PROPOSAL SUBMISSION

 

Special sessions proceedings will be published in the same volume as for the main track of IDC by Springer Publisher in Studies in Computational Intelligence.

 

For Special Sessions, proposals should include:

– Special Session title

– Topics of interest

– Program chair(s) and Tentative Technical Program Committee (incl. first name, last name, email, affiliation, country for each person)

– Draft "Call for Papers"

– Expected number of submissions and acceptance rate (if available)

– A one-paragraph biographical sketch for each organizer, describing relevant qualifications, including research and conference/special session/workshop organizing experience (no more than 50 words).

idc2019@comsec.spb.ru not later than  ̶F̶e̶b̶r̶u̶a̶r̶y̶ ̶1̶5̶ March 4, 2019.

 

SPECIAL SESSION ORGANIZER TODO LIST:

– will act as chairs of their respective Special Session

– will have to set up a Technical Program Committee for the Special Session

– will publish a Call for Papers for their Special Session

– will make publicity

– will dispatch the reviews

– will define the status of papers (accepted/rejected)

– will chair their Special Session during IDC 2019

 

 

WORKSHOP PROPOSAL SUBMISSION

 

Workshops proceedings will not be published in the same volume as for the main track of IDC 2019. The workshop (co-)chair(-s) are supposed to be responsible for choosing the publisher and organizing the publication process as well as for arranging paper submission and reviewing. But as for special sessions and tutorials the local organization issues of the workshops, including the venue rooms, etc. are supposed to be managed by IDC 2019 organizing committee.

 

For Workshops, proposals should include:

– Workshop title

– Topics of interest

– Program chair(s) and Tentative Technical Program Committee (incl. first name, last name, email, affiliation, country for each person)

– Draft "Call for Papers"

– Type of publication (conference proceedings, journal, etc.), publisher name, series title, special issue etc.

– Expected number of submissions and acceptance rate (if available)

– A one-paragraph biographical sketch for each organizer, describing relevant qualifications, including research and conference/special session/workshop organizing experience (no more than 50 words).

TUTORIAL PROPOSAL SUBMISSION

 

To diversify the topics and way of presentation in IDC 2019, tutorials in the fields of Intelligent Distributed Computing and related directions are planned to be organized, balancing between cutting-edge theoretical approaches and real practice.

 

At the days of the conference one-hour tutorials or longer master classes disclosing features of particular intelligent and distributed systems, architectures, case studies, scenarios under the conference topics are expected. Note tutorials do not assume any publication in the conference proceedings.

 

For Tutorials, proposals should include:

– Tutorial title

– Short annotation (no more than 100 words)

– Author(s) first name, last name, email, affiliation, country

– A one-paragraph biographical sketch for each author, describing relevant qualifications, including research experience (no more than 50 words).
