Visual Analytics in Distributed Environment (VADE)

Topics of interest:

  • Visual analytics system architecture in distributed environment
  • Collaborative visual analytics systems
  • Visual Analytics of streaming data
  • Application of the visual analytics techniques in cyberphysical systems, IoT, social networks, network security, etc.
  • Visual Analytics for distributed machine learning algorithms and models
  • Evaluation of the visual analytics techniques
  • Scalability issues in visual analytics

Call for papers:

Solution of the modern analytical tasks requires efficient processing of the huge amounts of data. A lot of effort is being made to develop novel data processing and analysis algorithms that consider distributed character of both data sources and computational resources. Application of the visual analytics techniques allows creation of the interactive data analysis systems that provide better insight on data being analyzed, and analytical models and algorithms being used. In this session we will focus on the application of the visual analytics tools and techniques for the solution of the different analytical tasks in distributed environment, including maintaining situation awareness in cyberphysical systems and emergence response. We are also interested in papers focusing on interpretability and validation of the distributed analysis models. This Special Session on " Visual Analytics in Distributed Environment" aims to bring together researchers and practitioners specializing in visual analytics and distributed data analysis, create a platform to exchange ideas, problems and the results of their research in these fields.

Submissions and reviews will be handled via EasyChair system: https://easychair.org/conferences/?conf=idc2019

Special sessions proceedings will be published in the same volume as for the main track of IDC by Springer Publisher in Studies in Computational Intelligence.
